A pleasure to all senses, the sound of the flowing stream, the view of the pristine pine trees and feel of the cold water splashing nearby. The landscape is the perfect start for your journey to Ladakh.

Day 2: Exploring Manali

Our Beas River campsite is worth its while, with an expansive apple orchard on one side and a picturesque river on the other, the sight is a wonder to behold. At a walking distance, you can indulge in the hustling bustling Manali market, if you wish to visit. We organise a small trek to the Manali Hot Water Springs to relieve your weary body but also get revitalised with the therapeutic sulphur water, for the journey that lies ahead!

Day 3: Conquering the Himalayas

We embark on the journey to Jispa/Sarchu via the Rohtang Pass. Be prepared to get mesmerised by the sight of gigantic ice walls, while passing Rohtang La. For many, this journey is a revelation, a photographer’s dream, for most a tale of a lifetime. We halt at Jispa or Sarchu to work on acclimatisation, for your comfort and wellbeing on the journey ahead. The campsite at Sarchu/Jispa is a thrill in its self, a chance to be one with nature, and to gaze at the starlit skies beyond dreams.

Day 4: On our way to ‘LEH’

In the morning after a hearty breakfast, we begin our travel towards Leh, a high-desert city in the Himalayas. This journey encompasses difficult terrain and spine chilling roads. For bikers, who wish to continue the journey on two wheelers, we can provide the same from Khardungla trails the next day. After reaching Leh by early evening, we recommend you take a while to settle into the thin air and allow your lungs to breathe

Day 5: Exploring Leh the light of the Himalayas

Our day in Leh is super-packed with visits to, Hemis Monastery, Rancho’s School (from the movie 3-IDIOTS), Shanti Stupa ( symbol of peace), IAF Museum, Thiksey Monastery and Leh Palace. The city tour is a splendid, with the city framed by rocky mountains and cold winds, the warm welcoming smiles of locals & their customary Juley (Hello), can be heart-warming.

Day 6: Blending into the culture.

We embark on our trip to Nubra Valley, via the world’s highest motorable road – Khardungla, also known as the biker’s paradise. We continue on our journey, with a few stops to take memorable pictures with our bikers, valiant soldiers and the customary Kawa Chai with Maggie. After reaching Nubra Valley, we visit the sand dunes of Hunder Village in Nubra, ride the local double humped camels, dress up in Ladakhi costumes & try our luck with a bow & arrow. We then head to Sumoor visiting the Diksit Monastery on the way. Sumoor is a rustic town, dwelling away from the hustle & bustle of Hunder village, with mesmerising views and serenity beyond compare. The night is completed with the traditional Kawa chai & a homey meal.

Day 7: Sunset at Pangong Tso

A special route to Pangong has been carved out into the Himalayan range known as the Shyok route Situated at a height of 4250 meters, deep in the barren landscape of Ladakh, Pangong Tso (Lake in Tibetan) is one of the largest brackish lakes in Asia. After indulging in the timeless beauty of the Pangong lake, we call it a night at the tents and await the beautiful morning to drop its first ray of light on this magical lake.

Day 8: Tibetan Markets and Ladakhi Cafes

View the beautiful Sunrise and morning at Pangong Lake.Post breakfast, we head back to Leh to indulge in the local Tibetan markets and some delicious Ladakhi delights. They say that ‘Mountain people are different’, deal with them to put the words to test. Humble and sweet, these are the people who own the shops in LEH our personal recommendation is the apricot juice at the streets-end & indulge in delicious Momos at Lamayuru cafe or World cafe

We Head to Kargil, famous for the 1999 Indo-Pakistan War. Although the trip is nearing an end, the fun is yet underway. With a huge expanse of Himalayan terrain to be covered between Kargil and Srinagar. We take a pit stop at the Drass Valley, rated as the 2nd coldest habitable region in the world, after Siberia.
